Growing up together at Holdsworth House

Marcus found his person at eighteen. Jodie spoke about what happens when you get together young: you either grow apart or grow together. They had grown together, and their wedding at Holdsworth House came with another reason to celebrate—they were expecting a baby.
A wedding with a future already taking shape
Both of them spoke at the reception. Jodie thanked Marcus for staying beside her through the ups and downs, and looked forward to seeing him become a dad. Marcus remembered finding her at eighteen and knowing he did not want to let her go.
There was pride in Jodie’s achievements too. After four years at university, she was only weeks away from qualifying. These were people who knew how much work had gone into getting there.
Remembering the people who helped them get here
Jodie also remembered two much-loved women who had helped raise and support them. She spoke about the importance of family, friends and making memories together.
There was plenty of laughter alongside it. Advice for Marcus arrived with the familiar instruction to remember those three important words: “You are right.”
Time together in the Holdsworth House gardens
The stone paths, garden gates and warm light around Holdsworth House gave us lovely places to film them together. They looked completely at ease with each other, whether walking through the gardens or standing close beneath the greenery.
Back at the reception, Spider-Man and Captain America made an appearance on the cake. It was a playful detail in a day with a great deal to say about love, family and what comes next.
