Two years of plans, and everyone together

Chloe’s father had plenty to remember: cars, bikes, football and a daughter who had always been happy to get stuck in. Seeing her ready to marry Matt brought a rather different kind of pride. Their wedding at Oaklands Hotel had been two years in the planning, with their children part of the celebration from the start.
A ceremony indoors, a celebration outside
Morning rain moved the ceremony inside Oaklands Hotel. Chloe and Matt exchanged their vows with family close around them, while the children found their own places in the day.
Once the weather cleared, guests headed outside for confetti, congratulations and time in the gardens. Magicians gathered little groups of people, giving us surprised faces and laughter to follow between the more formal moments.
Speeches from the people closest to them
Chloe’s father moved from childhood memories to welcoming Matt into the family. Matt thanked his parents and spoke about Chloe and their children; his two best men were happy to remind him how fortunate he was.
The children appear throughout their film. Their reactions during the ceremony and their enthusiasm on the dance floor are part of the family record, alongside the promises their parents made.
A final surprise at Oaklands
The evening brought dancing and a surprise fireworks display from Rainbow Fireworks. It was a bright, noisy finish to a day that had started with rather different weather.
Oaklands Hotel gave them room to adapt their plans and still enjoy the celebration they wanted. The children joined the party, Chloe was laughing at the top table, and their family were happy simply to be together.
