Leanne’s dad described someone outgoing, determined and loyal, then delivered a thoroughly straight-faced joke about doing a background check on Iain. Iain had his own thank-you to make: to Leanne, for everything she did for him and their children. Their Oaklands Hall Hotel film has that family warmth all the way through.
A wedding for the whole family
Their children were part of the day from the preparations onwards. Iain wore tartan, and the little ones walked hand in hand with the wedding party. It was lovely to spend the morning with a family already so comfortable together.
The ceremony at Oaklands Hall Hotel brought everyone into a room filled with pale flowers and greenery. Outside, the grounds gave them space to catch up with guests and enjoy being newly married.
The people who knew them best
Leanne’s dad spoke about the daughter, sister and mum she had become. He was proud of her loyalty and determination, but not so solemn that Iain escaped a little teasing.
Iain’s thank-you to Leanne was especially heartfelt. He spoke about everything she did for him and their children, and about the next part of their life together. By the evening, the children were on the dance floor too. They belonged at the centre of this wedding.
