Sian & Frazer at Camblesforth Hall

Sian and Frazer married at Camblesforth Hall and Grange on 15 June 2024, surrounded by the people and places that make their life in Yorkshire. They met at university, work in the NHS and share a collie cross called Margot. Their wedding brought that grounded, adventurous life into one lively day: a close ceremony, personal vows, speeches and a ceilidh that filled the room.

A Camblesforth Hall ceremony

The ceremony took place indoors at Camblesforth Hall, where the brick, timber and close arrangement of the room gave the vows a quiet intensity. Sian and Frazer had chosen a venue with character, but they wanted the day to feel personal rather than formal.

The ceremony was followed by confetti in the courtyard and photographs around the grounds. Camblesforth makes that transition easy: the spaces connect naturally, so the film can move from the concentration of the ceremony into the wider celebration without losing its sense of place.

A life built on adventure and home

Sian and Frazer’s relationship began at university and continued in Leeds, through NHS work, hiking trips with Margot and travels from Cambodia to Southeast Asia. They are equally happy exploring somewhere new or staying home for sushi, pool and board games.

Frazer proposed at Bamford Edge, convincing Sian that his family had discovered a new hiking route. After the proposal, they returned to decorations and sushi with their families. That combination of adventure and ordinary happiness runs through the wedding.

Private vows and Scottish roots

During a short walk together, Sian and Frazer exchanged personalised vows away from their guests. The moment belonged to them, and we filmed it with restraint. Those words became one of the most valuable elements of the film because they gave the couple a private space inside a busy wedding day.

Frazer later changed into a kilt, honouring his Scottish heritage. After the first dance, a traditional ceilidh brought the room together: guests joined in, learned the steps, collided, laughed and kept going. The evening gave the film movement and release after the quieter parts of the day.

Filming a wedding at Camblesforth Hall

Camblesforth Hall and Grange suits couples who want a Yorkshire wedding with atmosphere but not stiffness. The brick, timber, courtyard and barn spaces respond differently as the light changes, while the grounds give the couple room for a short walk and the guests room to settle into the day.

For filmmakers, the venue rewards preparation. The ceremony asks for careful low-light work, then the courtyard and reception open the story out. Sian and Frazer’s film could therefore hold private words, Scottish tradition and a full ceilidh without feeling over-shaped.
