Making time for each other
Alicia & Sam
Watch their film ↓
Alicia and Sam both worked demanding shifts, so time together mattered. Their vows at Brackenborough Hotel put that into words: they promised to make time for one another, offer support and bring laughter into each other’s lives. The speeches suggested they were already doing a good job of the last one.
A proposal made from photographs
Sam’s proposal began as a treasure hunt at home. Each clue was written on the back of a photograph from their relationship, with a reason he loved Alicia. The trail ended in their bedroom, with flowers, candles and the question.
That collection of shared memories was a lovely reason to make a film too. They wanted to keep the voices and little exchanges as well as the photographs from the wedding.
Family words at Brackenborough Hotel
Alicia’s father described her kindness and the welcome Sam had received from the family. He had also found a practical advantage to the marriage: Sam’s surname began with the same letter, saving a change to the personalised number plate.
Sam’s speech returned to what mattered most to him — facing whatever came next with Alicia beside him. His best man supplied the familiar jokes and the affection of a close friendship.
A wedding in the Tennyson Suite
The Tennyson Suite kept the ceremony, meal and evening together, with time outdoors for confetti and a walk in the grounds. Alicia was laughing with her bridesmaids in the morning and still laughing among their guests that evening.
By evening, the dance floor was busy. The affection and teasing carried on, with friends very happy to join the party.
