Here’s to Frankie

Frankie’s family described her as the sunshine in their lives. At her Elsham Hall wedding to Lee, she gave us plenty of evidence: laughing with her bridesmaids, beaming through the speeches and singing along on the dance floor. Lee was just as clear about how lucky he felt to be marrying her.

The ceremony took place against the barn’s brick walls and fairy lights. Frankie and Lee promised love, friendship and support, while their guests watched from just a few feet away.

A reading about recognising the person you love gave the film its opening words. Later, Lee spoke much more plainly: Frankie was funny, patient, thoughtful and the person who picked him up when he was down. The little qualification about testing her patience got its own smile.

Family words and a proper celebration

Frankie was laughing through the speeches and looking back at Lee as the stories came out. Their guests were enjoying themselves just as much.

There was time in Elsham Hall’s gardens for the two of them before the evening took everyone back into the barn. The first dance soon made way for friends joining in, with Frankie very much in the middle of the fun.
