From matching pyjamas to Doddington Hall

Lorena and Georgina married at Doddington Hall on 18 May 2024, bringing their English and Spanish families together. They met online at the end of 2020 and have been almost inseparable since. As they put it, they are a quiet English girl and a loud Spanish one, happiest when they are cooking, travelling or teasing each other.
The proposal, in matching pyjamas
Lorena had spent the day shopping while Georgina was at home with a cold. When she returned, Lorena asked Georgina to change into matching pyjamas and put on a blindfold for a surprise. Georgina expected nibbles and Pringles. Instead there were candles, music and Lorena holding a ring.
It is hard to imagine a proposal more like them: funny, affectionate and completely at home in their own company.
Why they chose Doddington Hall
The Coach House was the first draw, along with access to Doddington Hall's gardens. Accommodation on the estate made it easier for Lorena's family to travel over from Spain and stay close to the celebration.
They wanted their guests to eat well, have fun and feel free of formality. Bringing family and friends from two countries together mattered more to them than staging a solemn occasion.
Two families, two languages
Their ceremony took place outside in Doddington Hall’s gardens. English and Spanish voices carried through the readings and vows, bringing both families into the promises Lorena and Georgina were making. There was room for humour too, including a promise that recognised when pizza was urgently needed.
The speeches continued that welcome. Georgina’s father welcomed Lorena into the family, and Lorena thanked their guests in Spanish. Friends remembered the early days of their relationship; the two brides listened, laughed and looked over at each other.
Their people, their party
Lorena and Georgina found us through another Doddington Hall wedding film. They loved hearing speeches woven through the edit, and wanted those voices preserved alongside all their favourite people.
The gardens gave us time with them together before everyone returned to the Coach House. Their film brings the ceremony, family words and dancing together, with plenty of the teasing and affection that had been there from the start.
