A friendship, a family and a summer party

Sara and Sverrir’s wedding took them from the church in Humberston to Brackenborough Hotel, with a roomful of people who knew them well. Best man Ross had known Sverrir all his life. In his speech, he extended that same love and loyalty to Sara — after supplying the expected advice on getting his friend to his own wedding.
The church and the congratulations
The ceremony brought everyone into the church before confetti and congratulations outside. There were hugs, children being passed between family arms and guests stopping to talk before the journey to the reception.
Sverrir spoke about Sara’s kindness, strength and the good fortune of marrying her.
Speeches in the Brackenborough marquee
Sara’s father spoke with pride about the person she had become. Ross remembered growing up with Sverrir, then welcomed Sara into that friendship with the same loyalty he had always offered his friend.
The marquee at Brackenborough Hotel kept everyone together for the meal and speeches.
Music taking over
Glen Roughead’s live music accompanied the celebration, and Ellie Sax helped carry the evening into the party. Their guests were very happy to join in.
There was time for Sara and Sverrir to wander together in the gardens before returning to the crowd.
